It has been rumored for what seems an age, but following on from EA's E3 2014 press conference, we can now confirm that Mirror's Edge 2 is indeed in development over at EA DICE.
A few different videos were shown, which very clearly highlighted that the game is still being seen as a conceptual prototype. But even still, we can see that Faith is back, and that the first-person action of the original game will be making a return.
There was also a focus on stating that the gameplay will be made accessible for new players, and that they are expanding the free-running element that made the original so popular.
Not much else was discussed, but at least we now know it's in development. No platforms were mentioned, but it's safe to assume that PS4 and Xbox One versions are very much in the works, with a PC version also a strong possibility.
