Hideo Kojima promised that we would see the first footage of the multiplayer of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain today. That promise was kept and we were delivered with a 22-minute video showing both single-player and multiplayer.
To check the game's multiplayer, see the video below at 16:55 mark. Everything prior to this mark represents the same footage that was shown to the public back at Gamescom.
A few months ago, Hideo Kojima stated that the game's multiplayer would be connected to the Home Bases that players create in single-player mode. Players will be able to increase their bases' defense by installing security systems, cameras, stationary weapons and other similar accessories.
In this video we got to see a player, playing as Snake, infiltrating another player's base and stealing his supplies and equipment. The player, whose base was attacked, can return at any time. If invaders are detected, the player will have the opportunity to stop him.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be available for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, next year.
