Server Update Coming To Driveclub In The Next Few Hours

Evolution Studios announced that Driveclub will get a server update in the next few hours. This update will allow the producer to "switch on more of the online features" following the game's server problems that plagued it since launch.

"Continual upgrades to the DriveClub servers are building a steady increase in performance, meaning that we're getting more and more players connected," said Evolution Studios last night.

"The next server update is coming within 24 hours and will mean we can start to switch on more of the online features, so that you will be able to play more of DRIVECLUB online. We are sorry that we don't have more concrete news to share right now, but please be patient. We will have more information for you tomorrow."

In addition, Paul Rustchynsky, the game's director, has confessed that these server problems have been proving themselves to be quite the "challenging issue to address." But the good news is that team is making a lot of progress in fixing these issues.

"The amount of activity per player means we're having to limit the number of online connections," said Rustchynsky. "We've got no limits to the amount of servers or the quality of hardware, its purely down to the server code having some bugs. We have been working all weekend and we are making progress but its proving to be a challenging issue to address."

With Driveclub slowly getting back on its feet, it seems like players will finally be able to play online without any issues. Meanwhile, Evolution Studios has yet to reveal when will the PlayStation Plus Edition of Driveclub be available.
