A few days ago, Atlus's main Japanese branch announced a surprising new title, a Mystery Dungeon game utilizing the Etrian Odyssey series. Atlus's North American branch didn't waste any time with their announcement of the title, as there's now confirmation that the game will be released in North America under the title Etrian Mystery Dungeon.
For those who aren't aware, the Mystery Dungeon titles are roguelike dungeon crawlers that take the player's group of characters through randomly generated dungeons to delve further in the dungeon and gather loot and spoils from enemies. The major change for this title is that you look at the world from a fixed overhead viewpoint as opposed to the first-person viewpoint the Etrian Odyssey series is known for.
The game already has an E10+ rating and is currently set for a Spring 2015 release at a USD price of $39.99 in both retail and eShop forms. More information will be announced closer to release, but those wanting more information can check out the screenshots included below or the game's official website.
