Borderlands: The Handsome Collection has been announced today for PS4 and Xbox One. According to 2K Games, this collection includes Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and all the DLC released for both games.
Although the graphical upgrades haven't been revealed, 2K Games states that "for the first time on a console, players can experience [the games] in HD - looking better than ever before". Both games will feature four-player local split screen mode, something never seen before in the Borderlands franchise. In addition, players will be able to transfer their saves from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to the PS4 and Xbox One versions, respectively.
Alongside the news, 2K Games also announced the Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition of the game, which includes a remote-controlled Claptrap robot, 12 exclusive lithographs and a collectable steel case. The Claptrap robot is controlled via smartphone app, and not only it moves on one wheel like it game, it also spouts some of Claptrap's most iconic sentences. Only 5,000 units of this special edition will be available worldwide, each costing $399/£270.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection launches on the 24th of March in North America and on the 27th of March in Europe.
