Capcom has officially announced, via Japanese magazine Famitsu, the next entry in the Dragon's Dogma series, Dragon's Dogma Online. The game will launch on PS4, PS3 and PC.
According to the translation from NeoGAF user Duckroll, Dragon's Dogma Online is a MMO action RPG with a full open world and a lobby area that supports up to 100 players. The game is free-to-play, but it will also feature microtransactions.
Players can engage on quests in parties up to 4 players, or 3 AI pawns in case you want to play alone. There are also raid-like events that will support up to 8 players at once. In addition, players can expect frequent content updates, timed events, among other features.
Several jobs are also going to be featured in the game, with Fighter, Hunter, Priest, and Shield Sage, already confirmed to be included in the game. Players can change their jobs at any time, as well as their pawns' jobs.
A Capcom UK representative told Eurogamer that there are currently no plans to bring Dragon's Dogma Online to the west. A release date for Japan has yet to be revealed.
