Tecmo Koei Europe has announced a new release date for Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires that will now see the title release towards the later part of February.

Back in October 2014, it was revealed that the game was planned to release on the 30th of January in Europe on PS4, Xbox One and PS3. However, the game will now release on the 27th of February in Europe and the 24th of February in North America.

As with previous iterations, Empires is an expansive version of Xtreme Legends that adds an element of strategy to proceedings. Because of this, there are entirely new mechanics and for this version there will be some new weapons. Players will be able to choose from 83 characters as they look to unite China in their own way.

In addition to announcing the new release date for Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires, Tecmo Koei also detailed some of the pre-order bonuses. There will be additional armour sets for male and female characters and some additional costumes for specific characters.

Be sure to check back closer to the game's new release for more coverage of the game, as well as a full Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires review and video coverage. We will be looking to delve into the nuances of this game to see how it differs from previous iterations.
