The release of Resident Evil Revelations 2 has been pushed back one week, Capcom announced. This does not only affect the release of the game's first episode, but also all other episodes and its retail release as well.
Capcom states that the delay was necessary "in an effort to fine-tune the final product." Players can now expect the first episode to make its debut on the 25th of February, except for PS4 and PS3 players in North America which will be able to purchase it a day before.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 takes place between the events of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 and stars Claire Redfield and Barry Burton's daughter Moira Burton. The duo's adventure begins when they are both knocked unconscious and taken away to a mysterious island where they will face terrifying enemies know as Afflicted.
Players can purchase each episode individually for $5.99/€5.99 or buy the game's Season Pass, which grants players access to all four episodes, for $24.99/€24.99. The disc-based version, which will launch on the same day that the last episode is released, can be purchased for $39.99/€39.99.
In addition, Capcom has confirmed that those that purchase the Season Pass or the retail version will get access to bonus content. Purchasing the Season Pass will grant players access to two bonus episodes and the Hunk Raid Mode Character. The retail version includes the content featured in the Season Pass plus the Wesker Raid Mode Character and Raid Mode Throwback Map Pack.
