Meet Some Of The Classes You'll Play As In Etrian Mystery Dungeon

With Etrian Mystery Dungeon's release only a few months away, Atlus is starting to release some trailers showcasing the many classes you'll be able to use to create your party to trek into the game's randomized dungeons.

The Protector class in Etrian Mysterious Dungeon features high DEF stats and uses their shields to protect their party members from enemy attacks along with ability binds to use against enemies. The Runemaster class is a glass cannon class that can deal damaging elemental attacks as well as powerful AoE spells, but on the other hand is especially weak defensively and needs a class like the Protector to protect them from harm. Lastly, the Landsknecht class which has been a mainstay in the series returns with a mix of defensive and offensive power at their disposal.

For those who aren't aware, the Mystery Dungeon titles are roguelike dungeon crawlers that take the player's group of characters through randomly generated dungeons to delve further in the dungeon and gather loot and spoils from enemies. The major change for this title is that you look at the world from a fixed overhead viewpoint as opposed to the first-person viewpoint the Etrian Odyssey series is known for.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon will be releases on April 7, 2015 in North America both at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for $39.99. If you pick up the retail version at launch (until supplies last) you'll get a special launch bonus with a visual art book and soundtrack selection from the game. We talked about this previously, but now the publisher has released a glam shot of the actual packaging and bonuses themselves.

Along with the glam shot we also have new screenshots showing off the two classes, which can be found below.
