By scavenging animal hides, plants, minerals, among other materials, Lara will be able to create items such as traps, molotov granades or healing items.
Environments and climate changes will also add a more dynamic experience to the game, as these will affect the enemies' sight and hearing. This will also affect what animals appear, with some animals only coming out during daytime, while others only at night. In addition, Crystal Dynamics states that players can expect enemies to have a much more advanced AI.
Those that were disapointed for the lack of puzzles and tombs in 2013's Tomb Raider while be happy to know that there will be a lot more puzzles this time around, and much more challenging as well. Some of these will involve decoding ancient language, which might reveal some secrets that have been in the shadows since the previous game.
