Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae, which will be included in the Day 1 copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, will be available to download from the moment Final Fantasy Type-0 HD releases. The publisher has previously stated that purchasing a Day 1 copy of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is the only way to get a hold of the demo.
The demo doesn't have an expiration date, which means that it will remain playable indefinitely. Just like Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, the Final Fantasy XV demo includes both Japanese and English voice options.
Episode Duscae allows players to explore the region of Duscae, one of the several areas that will be included in the final version of the game. Duscae features plains, along with mountainous areas that are shrouded in trees. Players that decide to explore this region will also be able to find several caves, which will have tougher enemies than outside and sometimes hidden treasures.
Camping will play a crucial role not only in the final game but in the demo as well. Experience points gained during battle can only be used to level up your characters when they are at the camp. During these moments, players will be able to change the characters' equipment and check out events where Noctis and co. are chatting. In addition, eating food at the camp will grant beneficial effects to the characters.
For those that like challenges, Episode Duscae is also going to give players the opportunity to fight against a very powerful enemy, the Behemoth. In order to fight him, players will need to "find his habitat in the forest." On a brighter side, if your HP drops to 0 your teamates will be able to revive you.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD launches on the 17th of March in North America and on the 20th of March in Europe.
