Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIV's first expansion, Heavensward, will launch on the 23rd of June for PS4, PS3 and PC. In addition, the developer also announced a Mac OS version of the game, which will be available on the 23rd of June as well.
The Heavensward expasion takes players to explore a whole new location, Ishgard. In this new land, players will be able to take the skies and explore floating continents via flying mounts, which include black chocobos, dragons, personal airships and more. The plot will focus on the "1000 year Dragonsong War" between Ishgard and Dravania, and "The Wyrmking versus Thordan and his Knights Twelve."
Along with the new story and locations, the expansion will add several new features. These include new job classes, a new loot system, a new playable race, new dungeons and raids, and level cap increase from 50 to 60.
The Heavensward expansion will be available individually, in the All-in-One bundle which includes the expansion, and the Collector's Edition. Players that pre-order it will get an early access version, which begins on the 19th of June.
