PlayStation 4 system software 2.50 is now available to download. This latest firmware introduces a host of new system functionalities, such as the long-awaited Suspend/Resume feature.
The Suspend/Resume feature will allow players to suspend a game when the console is put into Rest Mode and continue playing the game later from exactly where they left off. Adding to the gaming experience, screenshots will automatically be captured when a Trophy is earned, allowing players to share these moments more easily with friends.
This update will also offer improved and expanded accessibility options, including freely customizable button assignments for DUALSHOCK 4, zoom for displayed pictures and invert colours on screen, bolder fonts, higher contrast UI, enlarged text and text to speech. Players will also be able to upgrade sub-accounts to master accounts directly on a PS4 once the user is 18 years or older, which removes the restrictions on chats, purchases and more.
Other additions of the PS4 system software 2.50 include Remote Play and Share Play at 60fps, the option to upload video clips directly to Dailymotion, the ability to search for Facebook friends who are PSN members, and a new "Friends Who Play This" section that allows you to check what your friends are playing on each game.
