After some rumors about the release of the original Wii version of Rodea the Sky Soldier, NIS America has announced that all first-print run retail copies of the game will include the original Wii version alongside the Wii U version of the game.\ The brainchild of veteran developer Yuji Naka, Rodea the Sky Solider features a robot named Rodea who protected the sky kingdom of Garuda 1,000 years ago from an evil empire. After awakening once a spirited inventor comes across his abandoned body, he discovers that the empire is at it again and is beginning to wage war upon the kingdom he protected. NIS America has stated that only the retail version of the game will include the Wii disc bonus, so any digital copies will include solely the Wii U version of the game. Also, the multiplayer mode will be exclusive to the Wii version and will not be featured in the Wii U or Nintendo 3DS versions of the game. In addition to the Wii U version, NIS America will also be releasing the Nintendo 3DS version of the game. All three versions will release in North America and Europe later this Fall.
