Just like Frozenbyte had promised, PC players can now play Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power via Steam Early Access. The full game will launch this fall on PC and other unannounced platforms.
"Trine 3 is our first move towards 3D-gameplay in the Trine series, so we wanted to get in touch with our player-base in an early enough phase to collect feedback on the new gameplay features, so we can tweak those into the right direction. Early Access can hopefully provide us with lots of players willing to do this," said Frozenbyte.
"The Early Access period starts with two fully playable Story levels and two non-story related levels. The third Story level will be available in May, and the full version of the game is expected in the fall 2015.
"During the Early Access period, players will also have access to "Challenge Levels", which are new to the Trine series. They are a set of levels which put the player's skills to the ultimate test, featuring crazy contraptions, character-driven level design, and ridiculous puzzles. One Challenge Level is in the Early Access build already, with more coming soon."
Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power is available now for $19.99/19.99€/£14.99. Those that get the game during its first week on Steam Early Access will get a 10% discount.
