NBA Live 16 will release on the 29th of September for PS4 and Xbox One, EA Sports announced during the conference. The developer promises to deliver a more fluent and realistic experience than ever before.

The game was implemented with Live Motion, a feature that the developer has been working in the last two years, and is intended to eliminate the feeling of being stuck in scripted animations. This is done by combining run-time physics with motion capture to create a great variety of situations and animations. Other additions made to improve the experience include "rebuilt passing and catching systems," a revamped shot system and new controls in pick-and-roll situations.

NBA Live 16 also has a new application that allows players face-scan themselves, GameFaceHD. This app was shown on stage and took approximately 10 seconds to generate the in-game model.
