Xbox One will soon be backwards compatible with Xbox 360 games, Microsoft announced during its conference. This announcement came along with a demo showing Mass Effect being played on Xbox One via backward compatibility.
Players will be able to download the games they already own directly on Xbox One and play them for free. As for retail titles, players will need play the games on the slot drive, and download a digital edition to the Xbox One.
"The games you have invested your time and money in will be able to be played natively on your Xbox One," head of Xbox Phil Spencer said. "We won't charge you to play the games you already own."
Microsoft states that over one hundred games will be supported by this holiday.
