Final Fantasy VII PC Port Releases On PS4 In October

UPDATE: The release date for the PS4 port of Final Fantasy VII that was on Square Enix's website has been removed. Square Enix states that the date listed was a mistake and the game will release sometime this Winter.

According to Square Enix's website, the PC port of Final Fantasy VII will release on PS4 in October. The game will be available in both North America and Europe on the 16th of October.

In comparison to the original release on Playstation, the PC port featured new graphical improvements such as hi-rez textures and anti-aliasing, as well as Achievements and cheat options. The port to PS4 will include these graphical improvements and system-exclusive features, but Square Enix didn't reveal what thses features are.

"In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE," says the game's description.

"AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor.

"Can Cloud and AVALANCHE protect the planet from the huge, formidable enemy, Shinra Inc.?"

Fans will be able to purchase this amazing classic for $15.99/£12.99/€15.99.
