Atlus has been released information for their upcoming dungeon RPG Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal, including information on the game's classes. We recently got information about the game's base classes, but the publisher now has new information about the more advanced intermediate classes available to choose from.
Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal is a dungeon RPG that utilizes a first-person viewpoint when inside the dungeons, alongside hand-drawn static cutscenes during the story portions of the game. For stat nerds, there's an insane amount of min-maxing possible and each of the female character have both a base class and can be specialized into one of several sub-classes. And for those who prefer the original Japanese voiceovers, the game will be Japanese-voices only with an English text localization.
After a unit hits level 15, they have the ability to specialize into an intermediate class. Each of the five basic classes (Fighter, Magic User, Scout, Maid, and Spieler) have a choice of at least two new class option to specialize in after hitting that level. These intermediate options range from enhanced evolutions, such as Fighters becoming either Paladins or Berserkers to polar opposites, like the Scout that can become the ranged Archer or the melee Assassin.
When switching to an intermediate class, the player will have the option of resetting their unit's skill points so they can redistribute them as one sees fit. And if that doesn't work out, players can reset their level back to level 15 (or 30, 45, etc. for later levels) and try another approach. And because they work as sub-classes, players can try out various hybridizations to find what works best for them.
And for those wondering what said intermediate classes are, here's a full list broken down by basic class:
Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal will be released later this summer in North America for $39.99 both physically and digitally via the PlayStation Store.
