By Shawn Collier on July 4, 2015, 8:37PM EDT

After a teaser website launched a few months ago on Aksys Games' website, Aksys Games and Spike Chunsoft have announced that the third game in the Zero Escape franchise will be released for Western audiences in Summer 2016.

The original game, 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, released in 2010. Its sequel, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, released in 2012. Due to a lack of Japanese sales, the third entry mentioned in the ending events of the sequel was guessed to be never made. But thanks to the Western fan base and sales in those territories, the series will have its third entry released.

Not much information has been released about the title except that it will released sometime in Summer 2016. We've included the full press release below.
