IO Interactive has announced that Hitman will release on the 11th of March on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The developer also revealed the amount of content that players can expect when the game launches.
Hitman will launch with six campaign mission split across France, Italy and Morocco. In addition to the campaign missions, Hitman will also allow players to participate in hundreds of Contracts and create user-generated missions. New Contracts and other challenges will be added every week after the game's launch.
As IO Interactive had previously stated, the game will be receiving post-release free content updates throughout the year. Players can expect new campaign missions, new locations and more Contracts throughtout the months after Hitman's release, with locations including Thailand in April, USA in May and Japan in June.
"We've had a lot of feedback since we announced HITMAN that has helped us shape these next steps. It's important that we listen to fans and that we're open with what we're doing. So today we're sharing details on our release plan and we're announcing something the community has asked for: a new price to enter the game at launch," said IO Interactive's Hannes Seifert.
Hitman will be available to purchase for $59.99/€59.99, with those that pre-order the game being granted access to the Hitman beta, which will take place before the game's launch on PS4 and PC. A physical retail release of Hitman will be available once all post-release free content updates have been released.
IO Interactive will also release a 'Hitman Intro Pack', which gives players access only to all March 2016 content, for $34.99/€34.99. Should players wish to upgrade to the full game, they will be able to do so for $29.99/€29.99.
