Sony has detailed all the features that will be coming with the PS4 system software 3.00. The update will be available to download starting tomorrow, September 30th.

One of the new apps that will be introduced in Software 3.00 is Events. This app gives players an overview of activities taking place in the games they play most, as well as official broadcasts. For instance, the app will inform you of events such as double XP weekends.

Increase of the PS4's cloud storage capacity was one of the things that players requested the most. Sony has listened to players' feedback, and with this update, the storage limit will be increased from 1GB to 10GB.

Another new feature of this update is the addition of the option to create your Favourite Groups on the Friends app, making it easier for players to access groups of people they play games with frequently. Another similar addition, is the option to create and join communities based around shared interests, like games, genres, and more. These communities include a message board with general discussion, screenshots shared by players, and the ability to join parties/games.

Players will also be able to Request one of their friends to start a Share Play session or watch him play via a Broadcast. Other additions of this update include sharing video clips to Twitter, livestream directly from PS4 to YouTube, the option to choose PNG format for Screenshot saves, and the addition of Stickers on the PS4's system Messages app.
