Earlier this year, Atlus announced their plans to localize Stella Glow for release in North America this winter. The publisher has now finalized the release date along with news of a special launch edition of the game that will be available to everyone who pre-orders the game in that territory.
For those who played games from the Luminous Arc series, this game should be very familiar as it's from the same developer and has some touches to it that will remind players of that game. With around 40-60 hours of story, the game follows protagonist Alto as he battles to save humanity from destruction, learning the secrets behind the five witches and their powerful Song Magic. The game has a cycle of Combat Time and Free Time, the former is for advancing the game's story through battles, while the latter allows players a finite number of choices to explore, upgrade, or form relationships with members of their party.
The release date will be November 17 in North America and will include the following launch edition bonuses:
Hilda's Crystal Garden Cloth Poster
A large cloth-based poster that features the striking image of Hilda, the Witch of Destruction posing with her scythe atop a seat of crystals.
A soft vinyl charm that features Bubu, the pet pig of the Witch Popo, coming in at a size around 3" x 3".
"Song Magic" CD
A 5-song disc featuring the vocal themes of the five Witches. The CD will be enclosed in a separate sleeve featuring artwork from the Witch Tuning sequences from the game.
Collectible Outer Box
Like the box for Atlus's upcoming The Legend of Legacy, all of the items listed above will be included in a large outer box. The box has a special new design instead of re-using the game's cover, featuring the protagonist, Alto, and the five Witches.
All pre-order and a limited number of launch-day copies will include the above bonuses, with the publisher noting they'll be looking at pre-order demand to base how many they'll be producing. And if you want to know more about the game's turn-based combat, the publisher also released a new trailer showcasing just that, which can be found below.
Stella Glow will be released on November 17 in North America at retail and digitally via the Nintendo eShop for $49.99. NIS America will release the title in Spring 2016 both at retail and digitally, although no price point or launch edition bonuses are currently decided for that territory.
