Atlus's upcoming RPG The Legend of Legacy is releasing next month, so publisher Atlus has announced in preparation for the release they'll be releasing a demo on the Nintendo eShop for gamers to get introduced to the game.

The Legend of Legacy is composed of a star-studded team of developers, including illustrator Tomomi Kobayashi (SaGa series), renowned composer Masashi Hamauzu (SaGa, Final Fantasy XIII), and writer Masato Kato (Chrono Trigger). The Legend of Legacy is an RPG where players unravel the secret agendas each one of seven explorers has in store for the mysterious new island, Avalon. The twist is that after reaching the end of each character's story, you can start another's in New Game Plus mode to have a different take on the story. And for the the American release, there will be additional balance tweaks new to the Western version of the game.

The demo will be released on September 22 in North America, which takes players through the prologue and the first two dungeons in the game. The demo has 30 allotted playthrough, with your progress being carried over into the full game.

Atlus also has revealed information on three more of the explorers you'll be able to play as in the game, along with a new trailer showcasing them:

A mercenary who excels at combat, he's known for his battle prowess as the "Baron." His attacks are strong and he has a penchant for long swords, axes, and shields. But like Garnet, he doesn't have any affinity to the elementals.

As an alchemist, Eloise has a...unique pursuit after arriving on Avalon. Her dedication to the alchemical arts combined with her beauty has her searching the mysterious island for the secret to eternal youth. She has affinities for all of the elements, being a mage-type character, and excels with either a bow or staff.

Fans of Frog from Chrono Trigger will love this one, since he's well...a frog. He is also the heir to a lost kingdom, and looking to find a home for his people on Avalon. He excels with a spear and is one of the strongest attackers in the game, and has a strong bond with the water element.

All physical pre-orders and a limited number of launch copies will be upgraded to a special limited collector's edition. It comes in a large, collectible outer box and included two additional bonuses alongside the game: a 10-soundtrack CD featuring music from composer Masashi Hamauzu and a glossy hardcore 40-page art book with art from acclaimed illustrator Tomomi Kobayashi (SaGa series).

The Legend of Legacy will be released on October 13 in North and South America. NIS America will be releasing the title over in Europe in Winter 2016.
