Rocket League has received a new free update, one which will add the long awaited Hockey Mode. Along with the Hockey Mode, this update will also allow players to unlock seven different Christmas-themed items.
Just like it's name indicates, in Hockey Mode players will play in an ice arena with a puck in place of a ball. This mode will have its own dedicated online playlist, which replaces the Mutator Mashup playlist.
As for the Christmas-themed items, these will be earned as post-match item drops, all that players have to do is play the game, winning or losing doesn't matter. These items will be available to earn until the 4th of January, after that, players will have to wait until the next christmas season to get another chance.
The full list of items includes the following:
- "Xmas" Rocket Trail
- "Blitzen" Topper
- "Christmas Tree" Topper
- "Sad Sapling" Topper
- "Santa" Topper
- "Candy Cane" Antenna
- "Holiday Gift" Antenna
Psyonix has recently revealed that Rocket League is also coming to other platforms, including Xbox One, OS X and Linux. The game is expected to release on Xbox One in February.
