Street Fighter 5 Getting A Free Story Expansion In June

A Cinematic Story expansion will be released for Street Fighter 5 in June, Capcom has announced.

This story expansion will take place between Street Fighter 3 and Street Fighter 4, and will feature characters such as M. Bison and Shadaloo. It will become available sometime in June as a free update to all players.

The base game will also release with some story elements, as several characters will have their own story mode for players to complete which reveal more about their backgrounds and relationships. These stories will feature artwork by Japanese illustrator Bengus.

In addition, completing these individual stories and other single player modes will reward players with Fight Money. According to Capcom, Fight Money can be used to purchase DLC characters and more.

Street Fighter 5 releases on PS4 and PC on the 16th of February.
