Bigben Interactive has released the first trailer for Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter.
The trailer is called "A Mystic Trip", and while it is all a CGI cinematic, it gives us our first look at the main setup for the game, which seems a lot darker than previous games in the long running series. "What led young Katelyn to 221B Baker Street? Could she have discovered the dark truth about her family? And who is the charming clairvoyant who has moved in to 221C? Is there room for séances and occult rituals in the bastion of logic and rationalism?" reads the trailer trailer synopsis.
"For the first time in his prestigious career, the most illustrious of detectives must fight not to reveal a secret, but to keep one"¦"
Frogwares calls it the "most ambitious" title the developer has ever worked on, one that will feature an incredible adventure that will combine the best of investigation, action and exploration. It will feature 5 different cases and will allow players to free roam the streets of Victorian London.
"Sherlock Holmes games have always been about giving the players the best and most immersive experience, but The Devil's Daughter is by far the most ambitious title we have ever worked on," said Wael Amr, Frogwares' CEO. "This first trailer symbolises our effort to get the franchise to a whole new level, and we think it's a good start!"
Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter releases on the 27th of May on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
