Rebellion has announced Sniper Elite 4, the next game in the Sniper Elite series. The game will be release sometime this year and is going to be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Taking place immediately after the events of the previous game, Sniper Elite 4 will see marksman Karl Fairburne travel to Italy in order to fight alongside the Italian Resistance to help free their country from the yoke of Fascism. He's also tasked with defeating a terrifying new threat with the potential to halt the Allied fightback in Europe before it's even begun.
Being the first game in the series to drop support for last-gen consoles, players can expect a lot of improvements and new additions. According to Rebellion, the game will feature the largest and most diverse environments ever seen in a Sniper Elite game, with maps being "many times the size of those seen in Sniper Elite 3". In terms of presentation, Sniper Elite 4 will run in native 1080p on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The game will also have a multiplayer component, allowing players to take part in both co-op and competitive multiplayer modes. In addition, the campaign itself can be played in co-op up to two players.
