Following the closed beta that took place last week, Bethesda has announced that Doom will receive an open beta on the 15th of April. The publisher also detailed their plans for post-launch content for the game, both paid and free.
The open will be available on all three platforms and will run from April 15-18. This beta will feature the same content of the closed beta, two multiplayer maps, Heatwave and Infernal, and two game modes, Team Deathmatch and Warpath.
Bethesda has revealed that there will be three paid DLC packs, each priced at $14.99/£11.99/€14.99. Alternatively, players can purchase the Season Pass, which gives access to all post-launch content, for $39.99/£29.99/€39.99.
Although details on these packs are scarce, we know that the first pack will include the following:
- Three new maps
- One new weapon
- One new playable demon
- One new armour set
- One new piece of equipment
- New hack modules and taunts
- New customization colors and patterns
Doom will also receive some free content throughout the year. This includes SnapMap updates, new game modes, AI enhancements and map modules.
Doom releases worldwide on PS4, Xbox One and PC on the 13th of May.
