In a recent interview with Dengeki, Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata revealed quite a lot of information about the game and its future. He addressed aspects like DLC, the Platinum Demo, frame rates, the Regalia, and more.

Tabata wants players that purchase Final Fantasy XV to play the game for a long time. With this in mind, Square Enix will be releasing post-launch DLC content, both free and paid, for Final Fantasy XV, although the developer has yet to determine what exactly this content will be.

"We are thinking about them [DLC]," said Tabata. "The objective is to have people that purchase Final Fantasy XV get to enjoy it for longer. There are free DLCs, and considering that production does have its costs, there are also some paid ones, too. However, the content has not been decided on yet. If we were to make an announcement at such a stage, even if it were the players, there may be some situations where it wouldn't be positively received.

"Therefore, once we're at a stage where we've done proper preparations and we feel that we have something good to provide, we will formally make announcement. We are thinking of things that will make you happy to have purchased Final Fantasy XV for a long time."

Speaking about the Platinum Demo and its frame rate, Tabata explained that the team is doing more improvements as they are headed into the game's full release. He adds that the demo was intended to show off a part of the world rather than its frame rate, something that will be different in the full-game, which will be as much optimized as possible for each system.

Final Fantasy XV releases on the 30th of September on PS4 and Xbox One.
