Ubisoft To Start Permanently Banning Cheaters In The Division

Cheating has always been a problem in The Division, one that's been around since the game's closed beta despite Ubisoft's efforts. Although this doesn't happen often on PS4 and Xbox One, PC players aren't so lucky, but Ubisoft is one the case and ready to punish cheaters in the upcoming update.

According to Ubisoft, the next update, which goes live on the 12th of April, will allow gamers to report cheating players. Ubisoft will then verify if the players in question were in fact exploiting the game in order to have the advantage over others. If the report turns out to be true, the cheaters' accounts will be suspended for three days. If their actions continue after the suspension, the cheaters will be permanently banned from the game.

Although this might work for now, the developer is aware that this is not a perfect solution. Ubisoft is currently working on improving this system, adding that some better solution are coming in the future.
