Earlier this year, SEGA announced they were releasing Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X in North America. The publisher has announced both the launch date and pricing, alongside news of a special pre-order/launch day bonus for early buyers of either the PS4 or PlayStation Vita version of the game.
In Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X, the world is comprised of five unique Clouds, each with its own aura - Classic, Cool, Cute, Elegant, and Quirky. As Miku and her friends progress, the auras of the songs they perform and even the modules they choose will have a profound effect on fulfilling challenge conditions for players to test themselves with. There's also the newly added Concert Editor, which lets players create their own mini-concerts from the songs, modules and accessories they collect. As players take on Requests and explore Clouds with Miku and her friends, they begin to forge relationships, and ultimately, will reveal the secret of the eponymous "X."
The game will release on August 30. The PS4 version will retail for $49.99/CA$64.99 and the PlayStation Vita version will retail for $39.99/CA$54.99, with both versions being available physically and digitally. And unlike the Japanese release, the PS4 version will share the same name as the PlayStation Vita version, so there's no confusion there. In addition, the North American PS4 version also was confirmed to have the PlayStation VR functionality enabled as a free digital update once the hardware is released in that territory.
And as for that bonus, while supplies last for all pre-orders and launch day copies, both the PS4 and PlayStation Vita versions will include a special Hatsune Miku pouch, adorned with the symbols of the five new auras that are central to its new style of gameplay.
