Bethesda has revealed the first gameplay footage of Dishonored 2, along with more details about the game and the Collector's Edition.
Dishonored 2 takes place 15 years after the events of the previous game. Corvo, the protagonist of Dishonored, was concerned that at some point, people would attempt to assassinate Emily. As such, he spent said 15 years training her how to be a magical assassin like him whenever she wasn't too busy being Empress.
Players can play as Corvo or Emily. Each character will have its own unique set of supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets, offering very different gameplay styles between both characters.
Players are encouraged encouraged to make greater use of vertical space and explore rooftops, something that offers players multiple ways to complete their mission. Some of Emily's powers were shown at the event, including Far Reach and Domino. Far Reach lets her grab enemies and objects from afar, while Domino is an ability that links up to four enemies and whatever happens to one enemy happens to the rest, allowing you to perform creative kills and stunts.
A Collector's Edition for the game has also been revealed. Available for $99.99/£79.99/€99.99, the Collector's Edition includes a copy of the game, a bust of Corvo Attano's mask, a replica of Emily Kaldwin's ring, a propaganda poster, a Collectible Legacy Metal Case decorated with the portraits of Empress Emily Kaldwin and Royal Protector Corvo Attano, a digital copy of Dishonored: Definitive Edition, and several in-game items and coins.
Dishonored releases on the 11th of November on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
