Electronic Arts has announced that Star Wars Battlefront's third DLC expansion, Death Star, will release in September.

The Death Star expansion will include new maps on ground and space, weapons, Star Cards, and two new heroes including one "larger-than-life character we know you've been patiently waiting for". The expansion will be available for free for Season Pass holders, while those without the Season Pass can purchase the expansion separately.

Electronic Arts has been listening to players' feedback and desire for more offline modes. Starting next Wednesday, July 20, the offline mode Skirmish will be made available to everyone. Skirmish will allow players to play offline against bots in a solo mission or with a friend using co-op split screen. It can be played on any difficulty level and across two modes, Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron.

"With multiple locations that span the galaxy, from the frozen planet of Hoth to the lava encrusted planet of Sullust, we hope Skirmish brings players a new way to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront," said Electronic Arts.

In addition to Death Star, Star Wars Battlefront will receive one more expansion pack. Although details about this expansion are scarce, Electronic Arts has previously confirmed that it will be released in early 2017.
