Microsoft has revealed that Xbox Play Anywhere will launch on the 13th of September. With this initiative, players can purchase digital games that support this feature and automatically get both the Xbox One and PC versions of those games, allowing players to play them on any of the platforms.

To take advantage of this initiave, it's required to have Windows 10 on PC and the summer Xbox One update on Xbox One. The list of titles that support Xbox Play Anywhere are Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, ReCore, Sea of Thieves, Halo Wars 2, Scalebound, Killer Instinct Season 3, State of Decay 2, Ark: Survival Evolved, Cuphead, We Happy Few and Crackdown 3.

In addition, Microsoft has announced that all games published by Microsoft Studios in the future will support Xbox Play Anywhere. This means that future titles of franchises like Halo and Forza are also coming to PC.

"With the Xbox Play Anywhere program, you can buy a game once and play on your Windows 10 PC and Xbox One with shared progress, shared game saves and shared achievements," Windows & Devices Group CVP Yusuf Mehdi said in a Windows Blog update. "Every new title published from Microsoft Studios will support Xbox Play Anywhere and will be easily accessible in the Windows Store."

For those that have yet to acquire Windows 10 on PC, don't forget that the free Windows 10 upgrade offer is only available until the 29th of July.
