Dishonored 2 will allow players to play and complete the game without ever killing anyone, Dishonored 2 creative director Harvey Smith has revealed. In an interview with PlayStation Access, Smith discussed several gameplay aspects of the game, including the mini open-world level design and how it offers players several different ways to approach each situation.
"Each mission is like a mini open-world, right? That's what we like, we like to do the mission style so we can leave it behind and go to a totally new setting, but while you are in it, it's very open and non-linear," said Smith.
"You can play high-chaos or low-chaos, even as Corvo, you can invest in one set of powers or another set of powers. You can play very violently, or very stealthily. You can literally play without killing a single person."
In addition, Smith explains that player feedback for the first game was very important during development of some gameplay aspects for the sequel. He explains that some players found the original Dishonored to be too easy, which is why Dishonored 2 will be more challenging and even feature a "No Powers" mode.
Dishonored releases on the 11th of November on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
