Metal Gear Survive Will Not Be a Full-Price Game

Metal Gear Survive won't be released as a full-price game, Konami told Polygon.

Instead of selling for $60 at launch, Metal Gear Survive will retail "somewhere in the vicinity" of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. When it was released back in 2014, Ground Zeroes was being sold for 30$. However, while Ground Zeroes was a short game and considered by many a demo to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Metal Gear Survive is a completely new game. While not releasing as a full-price game, "somewhere in the vicinity" could actually mean a little more expensive than 30$, but only time will tell.

Metal Gear Survive is set after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes in an alternate timeline caused by unexplained wormholes forming in the sky. In a struggle to stay alive on this harsh terrain filled with deadly creatures, soldiers who were previously on Mother Base now must work cooperatively in order to survive.

Metal Gear Survive releases in 2017 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
