PlayStation Plus Prices To Increase In US And Canada In September

The price of PlayStation Plus subscriptions is due to increase in United States and Canada, Sony has revealed. The new prices will come into effect on the 22nd of September.

The price of an annual subscription will increase from $49.99 USD/$49.99 CAD to $59.99 USD/$69.99 CAD, while the three month subscriptions will also see an increase from $17.99 USD/$17.99 CAD to $24.99 USD/$29.99 CAD. As for the monthly subscriptions, these will only increase in Canada and will go up from $9.99 CAD to $11.99 CAD.

"PlayStation Plus strives to enrich your PlayStation experience through a world-class service built for our fans," said Sony on PlayStation Blog. "This marks the first time that PS Plus membership prices will increase in the U.S. and Canada since the launch of the service in 2010. The new pricing reflects the current market conditions while enabling us to continue providing exceptional value to our members."

Sony has yet to announce if the PlayStation Plus prices will see any change in Europe or other countries.
