Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will only be available to those who pick up a copy of the Infinite Warfare Legacy, Legacy Pro or Digital Deluxe Editions, something that has angered fans when Infinite Warfare alone received mixed reactions from the fanbase.
The situation could get worse as the Modern Warfare Remastered website confirms that Modern Warfare Remastered will only work if the Infinite Warfare disc is inserted. This means that you have to keep your Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare copy forever should you wish to keep playing Modern Warfare Remastered.
"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is a full game digital download that will be included in the Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition and Legacy Pro Edition on PlayStation 4. The digital download is redeemed via a voucher code on an insert in the box. The Infinite Warfare game disc must be inserted to play Modern Warfare Remastered. Internet connection is required," reads the description on the Modern Warfare's FAQ.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered boasts vibrant current generation visuals, with fully improved texture resolution and detail, high-dynamic range lighting, lit and shadowing VFX particles, revamped animation and audio, stunning sound, and more. It features the campaign and online multiplayer from the original game, with the latter including 16 fan-favorite multiplayer maps, such as Crash, Backlot and Crossfire.
Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare releases on the 4th of November on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
