After offering several teases over the past few days, Rockstar has officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2. According to the press release, the sequel to 2010's Red Dead Redemption will release only on PS4 and Xbox One, which means that PC will be left out, at least for now.
Rockstar describes the game as "an epic tale of life in America's unforgiving heartland". Red Dead Redemption 2 will also feature a "new online multiplayer experience" which will make use of the game's vast and atmospheric world, something that seems similar to Grand Theft Auto V's online mode, GTA Online. While details are scarce, we will surely know more about the game this Thursday, October 20, with the release of the reveal trailer for the game.
"With Red Dead Redemption 2, the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we’ve learned making games."
Red Dead Redemption 2 releases worldwide in Fall 2017.
