Bethesda had revealed earlier last month that mod support for Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Editionhad been cancelled on PS4. However, things have taken a turn for the better as Bethesda announced today that Bethesda Softworks and Sony have come to an agreement about the PS4 mod support.
The first game to feature mod support will be Skyrim Special Edition on the 28th of October. Unfortunately, players won't be able to use external assets to create mods on the PS4, only those already in the game. On the bright side, Bethesda confirmed that the game will support PS4 Pro and will render in native 4K. You can see how the game will look in the screenshots below.
Although we don't know when exactly will mod support come to Fallout 4, Bethesda did say that it will only come after work on Skyrim Special Edition is complete. Fallout 4 will take advantage of the PS4 Pro with 4K support, enhanced lighting and graphics features.
