Horizon: Zero Dawn has gone gold, Guerrilla Games studio boss Hermen Hulst announced. This means development is complete and on track for its release in a few weeks.
Guerria Games have also released some new gameplay footage and screenshots, which you can see below. The gameplay was presented by quest designers David Ford and Dennis Zoetebier as they show us one of the missions you'll take on when playing the game.
We also learned new details about the game during the video. For starters, Guerrila Games has been holding back on revealing the full diversity of its robotic wildlife, with the beasts showcased thus far being but a small selection of a much larger species count. Campfires are save points and can be used for quick travel.
Horizon Zero Dawn offers a trio of skill trees, each with a trio of multi-ability branches to unlock via earned XP. Prowler favours stealth, Brave emphasises higher damage attack and Forager increases and speeds up your healing and collecting.
You've the option to delve deeper into the story come character interactions via conversation wheels. But in addition to this there are also narrative-driven flashpoints, offering three different approaches to key situations that’ll shape Aloy and her relationships.
The game also features a day/night cycle and a weather system, both of which can alter gameplay. There's also a photo mode, which lets you change camera angle, depth of field, time of day, colorize options and more. You can find out more about the game in the full post on PlayStation Blog.
Horizon: Zero Dawn releases on PS4 on the 28th of February in North America and on the 1st of March in Europe.
