With The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii U, many Wii U players have been wondering if it's worth the upgrade just to play the game. Nintendo has now revealed, via IGN, the benefits of the Switch version over the Wii U.

In a list provided to IGN, Nintendo revealed that in TV mode the Switch version of the game renders in 900p while the Wii U version renders in 720p. While both versions feature the same content, the Nintendo Switch version has higher-quality environmental sounds, which makes the sound of steps, water, grass, etc. more realistic and enhance the game's Open-Air feel. Some icons, such as onscreen buttons, differ between the two versions. In addition, the Special Edition and Master Edition of the game are exclusive to the Switch version.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild releases on the 3rd of March on Switch and Wii U.
