Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for its 3DS exclusive Dragon Ball Fusions. The trailer showcases and explains a bit more of the game's combat system, which is more similar to a turn-based game than fightning.
First, there's the 'Attack Triangle' system, where each character is assigned a certain element between these three: Power, Technique, and Speed. To concept works similar to Rock-paper-scissors "“ Speed beats Power, Power beats Technique and Technique beats Speed "“ something that you will need to have in mind when forming your party and attacking the enemy.
Just like other turn-based games, each character has its own turn to perform an action. The Timeline, at the bottom of the screen, shows you the next character who will get to perform an action. The interesting and strategic aspect here is that if a character takes damage, they will move slightly left, back along the line, and another character may take their place.
But attacks alone won't win the fight, you also have to defend yourself. By guessing where your enemies will strike from you will be able to block them and reduce the incoming damage.
The publisher will be releasing one more gameplay video soon. Dragon Ball Fusion releases in Europe on the 17th of February on Nintendo 3DS. The game was released in North America back in November.
