With Horizon: Zero Dawn releasing next week, Guerrilla Games and Sony have released one more trailer for the highly anticipated title.
In this video we hear Guerrilla Games' Managing Director Herman Hulst talk about the ambitions that Guerrilla Games had for the game. Hulst said that the team wanted to make a game with gorgeous and detailed environments and character animations, and this had to be done in such a way that players could explore the big, open landscape without any loading times, something that required the team to improve the engine it had in order to accomplish that.
Guerrilla Games also confirmed that the game will have a small Day 1 patch, which is only at 250 MB. This Day 1 patch adds new PS4 Pro-specific options to the menu aimed at tweaking the visual experience. It will also feature an option to select resolution and HDR/SDR preferences.
"Horizon Zero dawn will receive a small day zero patch that will build upon PlayStation 4 Pro support, adding a Performance mode which will favor smoother framerates while delivering higher visual fidelity in the 1080p mode. This mode is available for both 4K and 1080p displays."
Horizon: Zero Dawn releases on PS4 on the 28th of February in North America and on the 1st of March in Europe.
