Bandai Namco Reveals Its Plans For Tekken 7's DLC, Two Guest Characters Teased

Bandai Namco has detailed the post-launch content that will be coming to Tekken 7 following the game's release. According to the publisher, the game will receive 3 DLC packs, which will add new game modes, costumes, stages, and even guest characters from other videogames' licenses.

The first batch of DLC, which is to be released sometime this Summer, includes a brand-new game mode and more than 50 new costumes. The second and third DLC packs will both feature one exclusive playable guest character from other videogames' licenses, and a special stage and special costumes for these guest characters. The second and third batches of content will be released in Winter 2017 and Spring 2018, respectively.

All three DLC packs will be purchasable individually but will also be available through the Season Pass. In addition, those who purchase the Season Pass will also have access to 35 exclusive metallic costumes.

Bandai Namco also announced that during the coming year, all players from all platforms will also enjoy free character panels they will be able to use to customise their favourite character's image displayed during the loading screen. Through a partnership with various worldwide artists, each player will have their own way to defy their friends and rivals.

For those that live in UK or Ireland, Bandai Namco will be hosting a Tekken 7 tournament series, touring both countries to find the ultimate fighting champion to hold the first ever UK and Ireland Tekken belt. A series of qualifying tournaments will be taking place over the coming months before the game's release across five major cities.

The scheduled dates for the qualifiers are:

15-16th April 2017 "“ Glasgow
22nd April 2017 - Dublin
29th April 2017 - Manchester
6th May 2017 - Birmingham
13th May 2017 "“ London
