Bioware and Electronic Arts have released a new trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda. Titled, "Golden Worlds Briefing", this new trailer gives us a closer look at seven of the game's "Golden Worlds".
Golden Worlds are planets that represent the best chance for humanity to find a new home. These worlds should not only be capable of supporting of life, but should also be rich in minerals to support the colonies. Without Mass Relays to easily travel across the universe, the game will take place on a pocket of stars called the Helius Cluster. This particular cluster features seven Golden Worlds.
However, despite being classified as Golden Worlds, this doesn't mean that you can just go there and everything is ready for humanity to settle there. There's no way to know in which state these Golden Worlds are, as you only have preliminary data. Pathfinder teams will explore these planets to determine their viability, which includes pacifying unseen threats, aligning with potential indigenous populations, resolving environmental problems, and establishing outposts. Once an outpost is established, word is sent to the Nexus and more colonists can be awakened to continue the migration process.
Mass Effect: Andromeda releases on the 21st of March in North America and on the 23rd of March in Europe.
