Even during the development of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, developer Naughty Dog admitted that this would be Nathan Drake's last adventure. Although Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells told Game Informer that another Uncharted title after The Lost Legacy is unlikely, Shaun Escayg, creative director and writer Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, believes this isn't the end of the series.
I wouldn’t say it’s the end. This thieving world is huge. There’s so many characters. Even before we settled on this particular story we were exploring Sullivan, we were exploring Cutter, and pairing each other up, thinking what would be right, what would have conflict, growth, something new, something fresh. And Chloe was the one that kept jumping out. But to say the Uncharted world is done… I doubt that highly.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a standalone expansion that will star Chloe Frazer, alongside Uncharted 4 antagonist Nadine Ross. The game will take players on an adventure to find a legendary artifact that the Hoysala people of India created to honor the Hindu god Ganesh's story. The story will be more focused on character development, exploring Chloe's and Nadine's story, their personalities, and the relationship between the two.
