Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment announced that Titanfall 2 is getting a 4-player Co-Op next week, on the 25th of July. Titled Frontier Defense, this new game mode will be available for everyone via a free update for the game.

Frontier Defense tasks players with defending their Harvester against 5 waves of increasingly difficult enemies. Players earn cash for defeating enemies which can be spent in between waves to purchase tools like Batteries, Arc Traps, Sentries, and more. You also earn Aegis Ranks by completing matches of Frontier Defense. Aegis Ranks can unlock powerful upgrades for your Titans, helping you succeed at higher difficulty levels. This game mode will be playable in five maps: Homestead, Forwardbase Kodai, War Games, Rise abd Blackwater Canal.

Alongside the Frontier Defense game modes, Titanfall 2's upcoming update adds new map named Rise and a new live fire map titled Township. The update also introduces new Elite Warpaints for weapons and Titans that you can buy. These will not only look awesome but also provide XP Boosts.

Finally, on July 28th through the 30th a free trial for Titanfall 2 will be available on all platforms. The trial gives players access to the training gauntlet, the single player mission, The Beacon, and full access to multiplayer during this time.

Titanfall 2 is available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
