Age Of Empires: Definitive Edition Releases On October 19, Age Of Empires IV Announced

Microsoft has announced that Age of Empires: Definitive Edition will release on the 19th of October as a Windows 10 exclusive. The company also confirmed that Age of Empires II and Age of Empires III will also be receiving Definitive Edition updates, although no release window was provided.

Age of Empires: Definitive Edition includes 4K support, increased population limits, enhanced pathfinding, robust destruction technology for their environment, additional zoom levels, expanded UI, a completely remastered soundtrack and multiplayer support. Along with the release date, a new trailer has been released, which showcases the remaster’s upgrades.

Finally, Microsoft has officially announced the next title in the Age of Empires franchise, Age of Empires IV. Other than the trailer below, no details about the game were provided, but we do know that it's being developed by Relic Entertainment, the studio behind the Company of Heroes and Warhammer 40,000 games.

A release date for Age of Empires IV has yet be revealed.
